Great that it is independent and does not train on our audio

I did try to get it to assist me as I have done with Chat GPT and Gemini etc. Maybe I was asking too much. I got Mixing Cat to analyze a vocal track and asked it to give me precise settings using the appropriate Safari Pedals to remove sibilance, adjust EQ and Compression. It took forever then when I asked if it was a too big of an ask it said it did not have the necessary parameter data for the settings. On my first attempt it gave instructions and settings but the controls were not as they are on the pedals. I did submit a support request. I do think it should have all the parameters for Safari pedal in its data base. Maybe I was asking too much. It was a test.

Interesting start, needs more teeth

The idea behind Meaw:Assist is genuinely exciting — an AI sidekick living right inside your DAW. And to Safari Audio's credit, the concept lands. It recognizes your DAW, understands the context of your mix, and serves up mixing suggestions through its two modes (Producer Cat and Engineer Cat).

That said, the execution has some catching up to do. BPM detection was off (it read 187 instead of 185), and the mixing advice, while decent, didn't go far enough to feel truly useful. More frustratingly, the plugin asked me to upload an image of my plugin list — something the client itself doesn't even support.

What I'd love to see next: Deeper DAW integration (ARA would be a game-changer), the ability to actually insert plugins with suggested presets, and a smarter feedback loop with your session. The bones are good. Right now it's more of a chat window than a true co-producer.

If you're curious about AI in the studio workflow, the approach here is the right one - just tempered expectations are advised for now.

Cool, but it needs (and I think it will be) more

It's an easy way to have control on what automatic plugins do. I like this way than use ozone to match an eq curve, but it can do a lot more! I like it can read in italian (in my case) but it is AI, it could also use other languages than english to answer. What I would see next? An integration with multiple instance (ex. snare, kick, bass, guitar, vox and a main master meaw) to analyze better where are problems.
It is great to check if it is all ok before an export (clip, eq, dynamic), but you can also ask specific question about what you want. a great idea! (in Reaper remember to set the priority for the keyboard to the plugin, right click on the name of the plugin, default setting for new instances, send keyboard command to plugin)

How to Install & Activate

Getting started is quick and straightforward. After your purchase, here’s what to do:

You’ll receive a download link by email immediately after checkout.
A separate email with your personal serial number will arrive shortly after (usually within a few minutes).
On macOS, run the installer for the plugins you want to install. On Windows, place the plugin files in your VST and or AAX folders.
Open your DAW and load the plugin as you normally would.
When prompted, enter your serial number and confirm.
