Installation And Setup
If your Safari Pedals installer gets stuck or does not complete on Mac, follow these steps.
Step 1: Take a screenshot
Screenshot the installer when stuck — this helps support diagnose the issue faster.
Step 2: Access the installer folder
- Open Finder.
- Navigate to
/Users/Shared/Safari-Pedals-Installer
- Try installing each plugin separately from the individual files inside.
Step 3: Use the alternate installer
If the main installer still hangs, download the alternate Everything Installer:
Safari Pedals Everything Installer (Mac)
Step 4: Contact support
If the problem persists, email bar@safariaudio.com with your screenshot, macOS version, and any error messages shown.
Step 1: Download the installer
Go to the Safari Audio download page at safariaudio.com/pages/Downloads-Page and download the latest .pkg installer. The installer includes all Safari Audio plugins.
Step 2: Run the installer
Open the .pkg file. You can choose to install all plugins or select only the ones you need.
Step 3: Select plugin format
-
VST3 — for Cubase, FL Studio, Studio One, Reaper, Ableton
-
AU — for Logic Pro and GarageBand
-
AAX — for Pro Tools users
Step 4: Install plugins
Click Continue and enter your Mac password when prompted. The installer copies the plugins to the default system locations.

Verify installation
Open Finder and navigate to the paths above. You should see .vst3, .component, or .aaxplugin files for the installed plugins.
Tips: Keep plugins in default paths for proper DAW recognition. Restart your DAW after installation. If a plugin doesn't show, verify the path and format match your DAW.
Go to your user area and find the All Access Pass section. There you will find your serial number for all Safari Pedals plugins as well as all your partnership offers, webinars, and other perks.

- Make sure your computer is connected to the internet during first activation.
Tip: After the initial online activation, you can use the plugins offline without issues.
2. Update the plugin version
- Download the latest version from safaripedals.com/pages/Downloads-Page.
- Follow the instructions in the included ReadMe file.
- Enter your serial number when prompted.
Installer note: During Mac installation, uncheck plugins you don't want to install.
